Answer:

let breadth be xcm

then length is (x+6)cm

now perimeter=2(l+b)

but perimeter is 60(given)

this 2(l+b)=60

now 2(x+6+x)=60cm

now 2(2x+6)=60çm

now 4x+12=60cm

4x=60-12=48cm

4x=48cm x=(48/4)cm=12cm

now breadth=12cm

and lenght=x+6=12+6=18cm

now area= l×b= 12×18=216cm2

Let the Breadth be x, then Length would be x+6

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 [L+B]

2 [x+6+x] = 60

2 [2x+6] = 60

4x + 12 = 60

4x = 48

x = 48/4

x = 12 {Breadth}

x+6 = 12 + 6 = 18 {Length}

Now, Area of Rectangle = Lenght × Breadth

Area = 18 × 12 = 216 square cm

Hence, the Length of the rectangle is 18 cm and the Breadth is 12 cm and the area is 216 square cm.

I hope this will help you........
