Let the breadth of rectangle be x m

Then the length will be 3x-6 m

Given the perimeter is 148 m

⇒ 148 = 2 (x + 3x -6)

 \frac{148}{2}  = 4x - 6

⇒ 74 = 4x - 6

⇒ 74 + 6 = 4x

⇒ 80 = 4x

⇒ x =  \frac{80}{4}

⇒ x = 20

Hence the breadth= 20 m

Length, 3x - 6 = 3* 20 - 6 m = 60 - 6

54 m
