let the breadth of rectangle be x
length=7/5x
perimeter is = 2(l+b)
2(7/5x+x)=144
24x/5=144
24x=144*5
x=720/24
x=30
length=7/5*30=42
breadth=30

Answer:

A=1260 square meter.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The length of a rectangle is 7/5 of its breadth.if it's perimeter is 144m

To find : What is its area?

Solution :

Let breadth of a rectangle be x

And length of a rectangle be 7/5x

Perimeter = 144 m

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l+b)

144m = 2 (7/5x + x)

144/2 = 12x

72 = 12x/5

x = 72×5 /12

x = 30

So, breadth = 30m

And, Length = 42 m

Then,

Area = length × breadth

A= 42 ×30

A= 1260 square meter.
