Let the Breadth be x

Let the length be b + 8

Perimeter = 2( l+b)

64 = 2( x + x + 8)

64 = 4x + 16

48 = 4x

48/4 =x

12 = x

Length = 12 + 8

= 20 cm

Breadth = 12 cm

Area of a rectangle = length*breadth

= 20*12

= 240 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

let width of rectangle be b

then length =(b+8) cm

i) area =84 cm^2

area of rectangle=length × width

84=(b+8)×b

84=b^2+8b

b^2+8b-84=0

b=6cm

then

i) length= 14cm

Perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

Perimeter = 2(14+6) cm

perimeter = 2(20)cm= 40 cm
