Step-by-step explanation:

Let the width be w cm.

So, lenth = w-9 cm.

A.T.P :-

w*w-9 = 90

=> w² - 9w = 90

=> w² - 9w - 90 = 0

=> w² - 15w + 6w - 90 = 0

=> w(w-15) +6(w-15) = 0

=> (w-15)(w+6) = 0

So, either w-15 = 0, then w = 15

or w+6 = 0, then w = -6(ruled out, since width cannot be negative)

hence w =15 cm,

So length = Area/Width = (90/15) cm = 6cm

Answer : Length = 6cm ; Breadth = 15cm.

Hope it helps✌
