Let the length of the rectangle =x and the width of the rectangle=y

I CASE:

x=2y-5   (1)

II CASE:

2(x+y)=80  (perimeter of a rectangle)

Using (1) in the above equation

2(2y-5)=80

4y-20=80

4y=80-20

4y=60

y=15.

x=2y-5

 =2(15)-5

  =30-5

x=25.

.: the length is 25 inches and the breadth is 15 inches
