Given :-

length is 4 times of breadth

perimeter is 90m

Solution :-

let the breadth be x

so the length will be 4x

we know that perimeter of rectangle is = 2(length + breadth )

→ 90m = 2 ( x + 4x )

\frac{90}{2} = 5x

→ 45m = 5x

→ x = \frac{45}{5}

→ x = 9

thus, length is 4 × 9 = 36m and breadth is 9m

Given :

  • Length of rectangle = 4(Breadth of rectangle)
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 90m

To find :

  • Dimensions of rectangle

Explaination :

  • Let breadth of the rectangle be x.
  • Let length of rectangle be 4x.
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
  • So, the equation goes like this :
  • 2(4x+x)=90m
  • 2(5x)=90m
  • 10x=90m
  • x=9m
  • Therefore, breadth = 9m ; length = 36m
