given :-

perimeter of the rectangle = 90m

ATQ,

the length of the rectangle is 4 times it's width

let the width of the rectangle be x

therefore it's length = 4x

given formula :- perimeter = 2l + 2w

➡ 2(4x) + 2(x) = 90m

➡ 8x + 2x = 90m

➡ 10x = 90m

➡ x = 90/10

➡ x = 9m

hence, width of the rectangle = x = 9m

and length of the rectangle = 4x = 4 × 9 = 36m

verification :-

= 2(36) + 2(9)

= 72 + 18

= 90m

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Length of a rectangle is four times its width.

Perimeter of the rectangle = 90 m

To Find :-

Dimention.

Formula to be used :-

Perimeter = 2 length + 2 width

Solution :-

let the width of the rectangle be x

Then length = 4x

⇒ Perimeter = 2l + 2w

⇒ 90 m = 2(4x) + 2(x)

⇒ 90 m = 8x + 2x

⇒ 90 m = 10x

⇒ 90/10 = x

9 m =  x

Width = x = 9 m.

Length = 4x = 4 × 9 = 36 m

Hence, the width and length of a rectangle is 9 m and 36 m.
