Question:-

The length of a rectangle is twice its breadth . If the area of the rectangle is 520cm². Find the length and breadth of the rectangle.

Solution:-

Let, L be the length of rectangle and B be

the breadth rectangle.

By Question:-

L = 2B ....... ( 2 )

we know formula

=> Area of rectangle = L × B

From ( 1 )

=> Area of rectangle = 2B × B

=> 520 = 2B²

i.e.

=> 2B² = 520

=> B² =520/2

=> B² = 260

=> B = √260

=> B = 2√65 cm

Put value of B in equation ( 1 )

=> L = 2B = 2 × 2√65 = 4√65 cm

Hence length and breadth of rectangle is

2√65 cm and 4√65 cm respectively.

i hope it helps you.
