Answer:

your answer is 30

Step-by-step explanation:

suppose, width = x

=> length = 2x [because length is twice of width]

we know that,

perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + width)

=> 2(x+2x) = 60

=> 2(3x) = 60

=> 6x = 60

=> x = 10 [both sides are divided by 6]

and finally,

width = x = 10

=> height = 2x = 2(10) = 20

==> area = 10)(30) [area = (lenght)(width)]

hope you got your answer.

Answer: let:

THE width of rectangle= b

hence, the length of rectangle =2b

l= 2b

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

60=2(2b+b)     ..... from eq-1

60=2*3b=6b

now 60= 6b

b= 60/6

b= 10

as we known l= 2b

l= 2*10= 20

now for area of rectangle = l*b

=20*10

=200
