Given that :-

  • Length of rectangle = 2( Breadth of rectangle)
  • Area of Rectangle = 1250m²

To find :-

Length of rectangle.

Solution :-

As we know that

Area of rectangle = length×breadth

Let the length of rectangle = 2x

Breadth = x

Now according to the formula :-

Length× breadth = 1250

x × 2x = 1250

2x² = 1250

x². = 625

x. = 25 m

2x. = 2× 25

So, length is 50 m .

SOLUTION:-

Given:

·The length of a rectangle is twice the breadth.

·If the area of the rectangle be 1250m².

To find:

The length of rectangle.

Explanation:

We have,

  • Area of rectangle= 1250m².
  • Let the breadth of rectangle be R m
  • Let the length of rectangle be 2R m

We know that, formula of area of the rectangle;

⇒ Length × Breadth

According to the question:

⇒ 2R × R= 1250m²

⇒ 2R² = 1250m²

⇒ R² = \frac{1250}{2}

⇒ R² = 625m

⇒ R = √625m

⇒ R = 25m

Therefore,

  • Breadth of rectangle is R=25m.
  • Length of rectangle is 2R= (2× 25)m= 50m.
