Answer:

let the breadth of the park be x

then the length of the park will be x+17

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

2(x+17+x)=178

2x+17=178/2

2x=89-17

2x=72

x=36

length=36+17=53

breadth=36

let

the breath of the park =x m

the length of the park = x +17 m

we know that,

perimeter of a rectangle=2 (length+breadth) unit

=2 (x + 17 +x) meter

=2 (2x + 17) meter

Now,

2 (2x + 17) =178

=>2x + 17 =178/2

=>2x + 17 =89

=>2x =89-17

=>2x =72

=>x=72/2

=>x=36

the breathe of the park=x meter = 36 meter

the length of the park = x+17 meter=36+17 meter=53 meter.

Hope it's useful
