Given that :-

The length of a rectangle with perimeter 14 cm is 45 cm.

To find :-

What is the breadth of the rectangle?

Solution :-

Perimeter = 45 cm

Length = 14 cm

Breadth = ?

So, let the breadth be 'x'.

As we know,

P = 2 (l+b)

Where, P = Perimeter

L = Length

B = Breadth

Therefore, Breadth = p ÷ 2 - l

x = 45 cm ÷ 2cm - 14 cm

x = 8.5 cm
