\mathcal\pink{perimeter\:of \:the\:rectangular\:field}

 = 400metre

let \: breadth \: of \: the \: field \:  = x

then  \: length \: of \: the \: field \:  = x + 26

perimeter \: of \: the \: rectangular \: field \:  = 2(length + breadth)

2(x + x + 26) = 400

2x + 26 =  \frac{400}{2}

2x + 26 = 400

2x = 200 - 26

2x = 174

x =  \frac{174}{2}

x = 87

breadth = 87metre

length \:  = 87 + 26 metre

length = 113metre

Answer:

length = x+26

breadth=x

perimeter=400m

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

2(l+b)=2(x+x+26)

400=2(2x+26)

2(2x+26)=400

2x+26=400/2

2x+26=200

2x=200-26

2x=174

x=87

breadth=x=87m

length=x+26=87+26=113m
