breadth= x
length of the rectangular field = x +13
perimeter = 640 m
then......
2 ( l + b ).. = 640
2 ( x + 13 + x )... = 640
2 ( 2x + 13 ) = 640
2x + 13 = 640 / 2
2x + 13 = 320
2x = 320 - 13
2x = 307
2x = 307
x = 307 /2
length = 307 / 2 + 13
= 307 + 26 / 2
= 334 /2
= 167
length of the rectangular field = x +13
perimeter = 640 m
then......
2 ( l + b ).. = 640
2 ( x + 13 + x )... = 640
2 ( 2x + 13 ) = 640
2x + 13 = 640 / 2
2x + 13 = 320
2x = 320 - 13
2x = 307
2x = 307
x = 307 /2
length = 307 / 2 + 13
= 307 + 26 / 2
= 334 /2
= 167
