Question:-

the length of a rectangular field is 30m more than its breadth . if the perimeter is 640m , find the length of the feild.

Solution:-

Let, L be the length of rectangle and B be

the breadth rectangle.

By Question

=> L = B + 30 ...... ( 1 )

we know formula

=> perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B )

=> 640 = 2 ( L + B )

From ( 1 )

=> 640 = 2 ( B + 30 + B )

=> 640 = 2 ( 2B + 30 )

=> 640/2 = 2B + 30

=> 320 = 2B + 30

i.e.

=> 2B + 30 = 320

=> 2B = 320 - 30

=> 2B = 290

=> B = 290/2

=> B = 145 m

put value of B in equation ( 1 )

=> L = B + 30 = 145 + 30 = 175 m

Hence length of rectangular field

is 175 m

i hope it helps you.
