\bold{\underline{Given\::}}

  • Length of a rectangular field is thrice it's breadth.
  • Perimeter of rectangle is 400.

\bold{\underline {Find\::}}

Length and breadth of the rectangle.

\bold{\underline{Solution\::}}

Let breadth of rectangle be x.

Length of rectangle = 3x

Now,

\sf{\underline {Perimeter \:of\:rectangle \:=\:2(length \:+\:breadth)}}

Substitute the known values in above formula

=> 400 = 2(3x + x)

=> 400 = 2(4x)

=> 400 = 8x

=> \sf{\frac{400}{8}} = x

=> 50 = x

=> x = 50

Substitute value of x = 50 in the length of rectangle.

So,

Length of rectangle = 3(50)

=> 150

•°• Length of rectangle is 150 m and Breadth of rectangle is 50 m.
