let the length be x
so,breadth will be 3x

Now According to formula
2 (l+b)=400
2 (x+3x)=400
2×4x=400
4x=400/2
4x=200
x=200/4
x=50

so, length =x=50
and breadth =3x=3×50=150

Answer:

Length of rectangle= 150 meters

Breadth of rectangle= 50 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

The length of a rectangular field is thrice its breadth. Its perimeter is 400meters. Find its length and breadth.

Let the length is 3x meters

so,ATQ breadth is x meters

 Perimeter\:of\:rectangle= 2(l + b) \\  \\ 400 = 2(3x + x) \\  \\ 400 = 2 \times 4x \\  \\ x =  \frac{400}{8}  \\  \\ x = 50 \\  \\

So, length = 3×50=150 meters

and breadth = 50 meters

Hope it helps you.
