  • The length of the field = 50 m.
  • The breadth of the field = 25 m.

Given :

  • The length of a rectangular field is twice of the breadth of a rectangular field.
  • The perimeter of the field = 150 m.

To Find :

  • The length and the breadth of a rectangular field.

Solution :

Let,

The breadth of a rectangular field be x.

The length of a rectangular field be 2x because according to the question, the length of a rectangular field is twice its breadth.

Given,

Perimeter of a rectangular field = 150 m

We know that,

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

2(length + breadth) = 150 m

Now,

 \implies2(2x + x) = 150 \: m \\ \\ \implies2(3x) = 150 \: m \\ \\ \implies6x = 150 \: m \\ \\ \implies x = \cancel \dfrac{150}{6} \: m \\ \\ \implies x = \cancel\dfrac{75}{3} \: m \\ \\ \implies x = 25 \: m

So, the length and the breadth of a rectangular field are :

The length of the field = 2x = 2 × 25 m = 50 m.

The breadth of the field = x = 25 m.

Hence,

The length and the breadth of a rectangular field is 50 m and 25 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breath be a. So,Length will be 2a. ✯ So, breath of rectangular field will be = a = 25m. ✯ Length of rectangular field will be = 2a = 2(25) = 50m.
