Question:-

The length of a rectangular garden is twice its breadth. If the length of the garden is 90 m, then how much will it take to fence with a wire net, costing Rs 15 per metre.

Solution:-

Length = 2 × breadth

90 = 2 × breadth

\frac{90}{2} = breadth

45 = breadth

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

= 2(90 + 45)

= 2*135

= 270 m

Cost of fencing = Rs 15 per metre

Total cost = Perimeter * cost Per Metre

= 270 * 15

= 4050

It will take Rs 4050 to fence the garden.

Hope it helps
