Let breadth =x
therefore length= x+7.
threfore area=x(x+7)........i

also given....
if breadth decreases by 1, length increases by 2 , area
remains unaffected.
therefore area = (x-1)(x+7+2)=(x-1)(x+9).........ii

therefore, i=ii
x^2+7x=x^2+8x-9..
=>x^2-x^2+9=8x-7x
=>9=x

so breadth =x=9
length=x+7=16.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length be :x+7

Let the breadth be:x

After addition and subtraction

Length:x+7+2=x+9

Breadth:x-1

A.T.Q

x(x+7) = (x+9)(x-1)

x²+7x = x(x-1)+9(x-1)

x²+7x = x²-x+9x-9

x²+7x-x²+8x = 9

8x-7x = 9

So, Breadth : 9m

So, Length :16m
