here is your answer...
the length of the hallway is 3 times its breadth
so imagine that the breadth of the hallway is a m so the length is 3×a m=3a m
the perimeter is 48 m
according to the question,

2(3a + a) = 48 \\ or \: \: 2 \times 4a = 48 \\ or \: \: a = 6m
so its breadth is 6m and the length is (3×6)=18m
hope it helps,pls pls pls mark it brainliest.

let the breadth be 'x'
length= 3x
perimeter = 2* ( l + b )
perimeter= 48 m
48 = 2 * ( 3x + X )
48/2 = 4x
24 = 4x
X = 24/4
X = 6
now, length = 3x = 3*6 = 18m
breadth = X = 6m
