Given :-

  • The Length of a Rectangular Plot Exceeds its Breadth by 8. If the perimeter of the Plot is 152cm.

To find :-

  • Dimensions of plot
  • Area of plot

Solution :-

Let the breadth of rectangular plot be x

Then,

  • Length of a Rectangular Plot Exceeds its Breadth by 8.

  • Length = x + 8

Perimeter of rectangular plot = 152

→ 2(length + breadth) = 152

→ 2(l + b) = 152

→ 2(x + 8 + x) = 152

→ 2(2x + 8) = 152

→ 2x + 8 = 152/2

→ 2x + 8 = 76

→ 2x = 76 - 8

→ 2x = 68

→ x = 68/2

→ x = 34m

Hence,

  • Length of plot = x + 8 = 34 + 8 = 42m
  • Breadth of plot = x = 34m

Now, area of rectangular plot

→ Length × breadth

→ 42 × 34

→ 1428 m²

Therefore,

  • Area of rectangular plot = 1428m²

Answer:

Breadth= 34cm

Length= 42cm

Area= 1428cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

let the breadth be x Metre

et the breadth be x Metrethen the length = X+8

et the breadth be x Metrethen the length = X+8p= 2(l+b)

152 = 2(X+8 + X)

76 = 2x+8

2x = 76-8

2x= 68

X= 34

Breadth=34cm

Length = 34 + 8 = 42cm

Area = 42 X 34 = 1428cm²
