let the breadth of the rectangle be x cm
then length = x + 60 % of x
= x + 0.6x
= 1.6x cm
given difference between length and breadth is 24 cms
hence 1.6x - x = 24
0.6x = 24
x = 40cms
length = 1.6 * 40 = 64cms
area = length * breadth = 64 * 40 = 2560sq.cm
