The length of a rectangular plot is 6m less than thrice it's breadth. Find the dimentions of the plot if it's perimeter is 148m? ​

Breadth(b) and length(l)

Solution:

Perimeter=2( l + b )=148m

P=2(3b-6+b)=148

 2(4b-6)=148

     4b-6=148/2

        4b=74+6

          b=80/4

          b=20m

∴ b=20;

   l=3b-6

   l=3(20)-6

   l=60-6

   l=54m
