let us assume that the breadth = x

length becomes  = 3x - 6

Formula

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

As given

perimeter is 148m.

put the value in the above

we get

148 = 2 ( x + 3x - 6 )

148 = 8x - 12

148 + 12 = 8x

160 = 8x

$x = \frac{160}{8}$

x = 20m

Length = 3 × 20 -6

           = 54 m

Breadth = 20m
