Given :-

  • Length of a rectangular plot is twice its breadth
  • Perimeter of the plot is 300 m

To Find :-

  • Length and Breadth of plot

Solution :-

→ Here , we’re given that length is twice the breadth

→ Let ,

  • Breadth be ‘ x ‘
  • Then length will be ‘ 2x ‘

⇒ As we know that ,

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

Where ,

  • L is length
  • B is breadth

ATQ ::

\sf \implies 2( x + 2x ) = 300

 \sf \implies ( x + 2x ) = \dfrac{300}{2}

\sf \implies 3x = 150

\sf \implies x = \dfrac{150}{3}

\sf \implies x= 50 m

Therefore :

Length = ‘ 2x ‘ = 100 m

Breadth = ‘ x ‘ = 50 m

Formulas for rectangle :-

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b )

Area = lb

\sf Length = \dfrac{Area}{Breadth}

\sf Breadth = \dfrac{Area}{Length}

\sf Diagonal = \sqrt{l^{2} + b^{2}}
