Let Breadth of the rectangular plot of land is B.

then length of land will be 2B.

a/c to question,

a square swimming pool of side 8m occupies one-eighth part of the plot.

it means, area of swimming pool = 1/8 x area of rectangular land

or, (side length)² = 1/8 × length × Breadth

or, (8m)? = 1/8 × 2B x B

or, 64 = 1/4 x B2

or, 64 x 4 = B2

or, B = 16 m

hence , breadth of the rectangular plot of land is 16m and length of rectangular land

is 2 x 16 = 32m =

so, answer is 32m
