6
width = x m
length = (x+6) m
Area of floor = x(x + 6) m² = x² + 12x m² (eq.1)

when each dimension is increased by 2
width = (x + 2)m
length = (x + 8)m
Area of floor =(x + 2) (x + 8) = x² + 10x +16 (eq.2)

According to question
x² + 12x + 64 = x² + 10x + 16
2x = -48
x = -24 m
but length is never in negative therefore x = 24m
hence,
length = 24 + 6 = 30m
width = 24m
