Given :-

The length of a rectangular wooden board is thrice its breadth and the breadth of the board is 20 cm

To Find :-

Area of the Rectangular Board

Solution :-

Before starting the answer , let's recall ;

The area of a rectangle with length and breadth l , b is given by ;

  • Area = l × b

__________________________

Now , here let us assume that ;

  • Length of board = l cm
  • Breadth of board = 20 cm

As , length is thrice the breadth . So , length ( l ) = 3 × 20 = 60 cm

Now , using the formula of Area of rectangle we have ;

 { \quad \leadsto \quad \sf Area = l \times b }

 { : \implies \quad \sf Area_{(Rectangular \: \: Board)} = 60 \times 20 }

 { : \implies \quad \bf \therefore \quad Area_{(Rectangular \: \: Board)} = 1200 \: cm² }

Henceforth , The Area of the Rectangular Board is 1200 cm² :)
