Let the breadth be x cm

So, the length be (2x + 1) cm

According to Question,

Perimeter of Rectangle = 80 cm

2(length + breadth) = 80 cm

⇒ 2(2x + 1 + x) = 80

⇒ 3x + 1 = 80 / 2

⇒ 3x + 1 = 40

⇒ 3x = 40 - 1

⇒ 3x = 39

⇒ x = 39 / 3

⇒ x = 13

Required Measurements »

Breadth = x = 13 m

Length = 2x + 1 = 2(13) + 1 = 26 + 1 = 27 m

Hence, the length and the breadth of the rectangle are 27 meters and 13 meters.

let the breadth of rectangle be (x) cm

so, length will be (2x +1) cm

Given, perimeter of rectangle = 80 cm

we know that,

perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B)

80 = 2(2x+1+x)

80 = 2(3x+1)

40 = 3x+1

x = 39/3

x = 13

so, breadth of rectangle = x = 13 cm

and length of rectangle = 2x+1 = 27 cm.
