The length of a ribbon3/4 m.Elise needs pieces measuring 1/3 m for an art project. What is the greatest number of pieces measuring 1/3 m that can be cut from the ribbon? How much ribbon will be left after Elise cuts the ribbon? Plzz explain your reasoning

Length of the ribbon = 12m.

Length of each piece cut = 3/4 m.

So, no. of pieces cut = 12 ÷ 3/4

= 12 * 4/3 [the value of 12÷3/4=12*4/3, as they are inversely proportional, and we always do division in multiplicative form, by rotating it] = 4 * 4 = 16
