Given :

  • Total Length of Rope = 150m
  • Length of the Rope is reduced from 150m to 131.25m

 \\

To Find :

  • Decrease%

 \\

Solution :

✰ In this question, Total Length of Rope is 150m and it is reduced to 131.25m and we have to find the Decrease%. So firstly we will find the net decrease in the rope after that we will apply the formula of Decrease% i.e Decrease% = Net Decrease/Total Length × 100 .

⟶⠀Decrease = Total - Reduced Length

⟶⠀Decrease = 150 - 131.25

⟶⠀Decrease = 18.75m

___________________

⟶⠀Decrease% = Decrease/Total × 100

⟶⠀Decrease% = 18.75/150 × 100

⟶⠀Decrease% = 18.75/15 × 10

⟶⠀Decrease% = 18.75/3 × 2

⟶⠀Decrease% = 18.75 × 2/3

⟶⠀Decrease% = 37.5/3

⟶⠀Decrease% = 12.5%

So, Decrease% in the Rope is 12.5%
