the length of a side of a rhombus is 10 m and one of its diagonals os 12 m . find the length of other diagonal

In the above picture, let, BD = 12 m.

Then, OD = OB = 6 m.

AB = 10 m.

By Pythagoras theorem, we get :-

AO = √{(AB)²-(OB)²}

= √{100-36} m

= √64 m

= 8 m

So, AO = OC = 8 m.

Hence, the length of other diagonal AC = (8+8) m = 16 m
