Side of big square =14cm
Side of the small square =1cm
Area of big square = (side)(side)
= 14*14 = 196 cm sq
Area of one small square =1*1=1 cm sq
Area of 4 small squares = 4*1 =4
Area of the remaining portion = area of big square - area of small squares =196-4=192cm sq

It's perimeter = 12+1+1+12+1+1+12+1+1+12+1+1=56 cm

Hope it will help you......
