Given:

  • Distance =150m
  • Speed = 60km/h

To Find:

  • Time = ?

Solution:

Given,

  • D = 150m
  • S = 60km/h

 \sf \: speed = 60 \frac{km}{hr} \\   \sf= 60 \times  \frac{5}{18}   \\ \sf =  \frac{50}{3}  \frac{m}{s}

 \sf \: time \: taken \: to \: cross \: the \: pole =  \frac{length \: of \: the \: train}{speed \: of \: the \: train}  \\   \sf  =  \frac{150 \times 3}{50}  \\  \\   \sf= 9 \: seconds

Therefore, time taken to cross the pole is 9 seconds.
