Original length=4m

Increase in length=2mm=2×10^(-3)m

Strain =Change in length/Original length

=(2×10^(-3))/4=0.5×10^(-3)

Strain=5×10^(-4)

Answer:

first covert the Meyer in to mm so 4m=4×10^3

strain =change in length/ original length

2mm/4×10^3

1/2×10^3

0.5×10^-3
