The length of a wire is tripled and its area of crossection is doubled, how does it

affect the resistivity of the wire. Give reason in support of your answer.

In this case their will be no change in resistance. The resistance of a long wire is greater than the resistance of a short wirebecause electrons collide with ions more often. The resistance of a thinwire is greater than the resistance of a thick wire because a thin wire has fewer electrons to carry the current.
