The length of an aluminium bar of lenght 80cm increase by 1mm on heating. What ia the final temperature of the bar if it was initially at temperature 20oC? (Given: cofficient 9f linear exansion of aluminium=25x10 -6/°c).

Length of aluminium bar, L = 80cm
Change in length by heating, ΔL = 1mm = 0.1cm
Using linear thermal expansion formula, ΔL/L = α(T - T₀)
where, α = coff of linear expansion = 25 x 10⁻⁶/⁰C
T₀= Intial temperature = 20⁰C
now, 0.1/80 = (25 × 10⁻⁶)(T - 20)
T - 20 = 50
T = 50 + 20
T = 70⁰C
