The length of DNA in one chromosome is
510 Å. It has 20 % of 6 - aminopurines.
The total number of nucleotides and
hydrogen bonds in that chromosome
respectively, are
1) 300 & 390
2)150 & 390
3) 150 & 190
4) 120 & 156

Answer:

OptionA 300 nucleotide and 390 hydrogen bonds

Explanation:

6 aminopyrine means adinies

If adinies are 20% then thymidine will be 20% so remaining 60% will be equally shared by guanine and cytocine so each 30%

Twenty nucleotide constitute 34A length

So 510A is constituted by=510/34

=300 nucleotide

In that 20per is adenine so there are 60 adinies

so 60*2 =120 hydrogen bonds

30 persent are guanine so there are 90 guanine nucleotide

So 90*3=270 hydrogen bonds

So total hydrogen bonds are

270+120=390

Total no.of nucleotide is equal to

60(A)+60(Thymidine)+90(Gu)+90(Cy). =300 nucleotide
