speed=total distance travelled in one revolution/time utilized to complete one revolution.
v=2x3.14x10cm/3600sec=0.0174cm/ses

The speed is 0.024 cm/s

Given:

Length of minute hand = 14 cm

Solution:

To calculate the speed with which the tip of minute hand is moving, we need the time and distance covered.

Since, it is about clock, it will be angular speed and for angular speed, angular distance traveled must be calculated which will circumference of the circle of radius 14 cm traveled,

Circumference =2 \pi r

=(2 \pi \times 14) \mathrm{cm}

Time taken t is 60 minutes which is 3600 seconds.

Hence,

Speed =\frac{2 \pi \times 14}{3600}

Speed =0.024 \ \mathrm{cm} / \mathrm{s}
