 \fbox{Given}

Length of minute hand of clock = 7 cm.

 \fbox{To find:}

Area swept by the minute hand in one minute.

 \fbox{Solution}

b) 2.57 cm^2

The minute hand of a clock describes a circle of radius equal to its length, i.e. 7cm in 1 h. So, the angle described by minute hand in 60 minute = 360°

Therefore, angle described by minute hand in one minute.

= 360°/60°

= 6°

Therefore, required area

 {\theta÷360°} × πr^2

= 6°/360° × 22/7 × (7)^2

= 1/60 × 22/7 × 7 × 7

= 2.57 cm^2
