2 (b+5+b)=38
2b+5=38/2
2b+5=19
2b=14
b=7cm
area is L×B

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)
Let the breadth be x
38= 2(x+5+x)
38/2=2x+5
19- 5 = 2x
14=2x
x=7 cm
therefore breadth= 7cm
and length= 12cm
area of rectangle= l×b
= 12×7
= 84cm2
