The length of rectangle is greater than breadth by 18 cm if both length and breadth are increased by 6 cm then area increased by 168 cm square find the length and breadth of rectangle

breadth = a

length = a + 18

area = a(a+18) = a² + 18a

if length = a + 18 + 6 = a + 24

and breadth = a + 6

area will be =

(a+24) (a+6)  = a² + 18a + 168

a² + 6a + 24a + 144 = a² + 18a + 168

12a = 24

a = 2

Breadth = 2cm

length = 20cm
