Let the breadth of rectangle be x

Let the length of rectangle be 2x

  • Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

According to the question

48 = 2(x + 2x)

48 = 2(3x)

48 = 6x

48÷6 = x

48/6 = x

8 = x

Length of rectangle is 8

Breadth or rectangle = 2x

Breadth = 2(8) = 16

  • Length = 8cm
  • Breadth = 16cm

Hence , the dimensions of rectangle are 8cm and 16cm
