Let the breadth be 'x' m.
Breadth = x
Length = 2x

Area of a rectangle= length * breadth

128 = 2x * x
128 = 2x^2.
x^2 = 64
x = √64
x = +- 8 m.

But the breadth cannot be negative so we take the value of x as +8 cm.

Breadth = 8 m.
Length = 2*8 = 16 m .

let the breadth be x
and length be 2x
area of the rectangle =128m^2
so,l*b=128m^2
2x*x=128
2x^2=128
x^2=128/2
x^2=64
x=8
and 2x=2*8=16
so length and breadth are 16m and 8m
