Let the side of a square=x cm
=>length of the rectangle =2x cm
Width of the rectangle =(x+6)cm

Area of square=side^2
Area =x^2 Sq cm

Area of rectangle =length × breadth
Area=(2x)(x+6)
Area=2x^2+12x

Area of rectangle=3×(Area of square)
2x^2+12x=3x^2
x^2-12x=0
x (x-12)=0
x=0 (or) x-12=0 =>x=12

If x=0 it can't form a square. So, x=12

•°• Side of the square =12cm
Length of the rectangle = 24cm
Width of the rectangle = 12cm
Area of the square = 144 Sqcm
Area of rectangle = 288 Sqcm
