Let the breadth of the given rectangular field be x m and length be twice of the breadth i.e. 2x m

Given,Perimeter of the rectangle = 150

We know, Perimeter of rectangle is 2( length + breadth )

Here, in the question,

2( x + 2x ) = 150

=> 3x = 150 / 2

=> 3x = 75 m

=> x = ( 75 / 3 ) m

=> x = 25 m

Hence, Breadth of the rectangular field is x = 25 m and length of the rectangular field is 2x = 2( 25 ) = 50 m

Let us consider the breadth (b) as x metres.

Therefore the measure of length (l) = 2 times 'b'

= 2x metres

Perimeter (P) of a rectangle = 2( l+ b)

P is given in the question as 150 metres

After putting the values we get,

P of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

150 = 2 ( x + 2x )

150 = 2 ( 3x )

150 = 6x

Therfore, x = 150 / 6

= 25 metres

Therefore b = x = 25 metres

l = 2x = 2 x 25 = 50 metres
