Given :- The length of RT is 9 feet, and the length of SU is 12 feet.

To Find :- Area of kite RSTU ?

Answer :-

we know that,

  • Diagonals of kite intersect each other at 90° .
  • Area of kite = (1/2) * Diagonal 1 * Diagonal 2 .

given that,

  • RT = D1 = 9 feet .
  • SU = D2 = 12 feet .

so,

→ Area of kite RSTU = (1/2) * D1 * D2 = (1/2) * 9 * 12 = 54 feet² (Ans.)

Extra :- Diagonals of a rhombus also intersect each other at 90° so, we can find area of rhombus by (1/2) * Diagonal 1 * Diagonal 2 .
