given :-

length of the diagonal of the rectangular floor = 2.25m

length of any of it's side = 1.44m

we know that each side of the rectangle is 90°

so let us take diagonal as the hypotenuse and one of it's side as base.

=> h² = b² + p² (another side)

=> 2.25² = 1.44² + p²

=> 5.0625 = 2.0736 + p²

=> 5.0625 - 2.0736 = p²

=> 2.9889 = p²

=> p = √2.9889

hence, the another side is √2.9889m

now area of the rectangular floor = 1.44 × √2.9889

= 2.48m² (approx)

Answer

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of diagonal equals to 2.25 m

Length of one side equals to 1.44 m

Let breadth be x

Now, x=√(1.44)^2+x^2 = 2.25

            144/100+ x =2.25/100

             x= 0.81m

Now,area =l * b = 1.44 * 0.81 =729/125
